About me

I am an artist (painter and printmaker) living in the countryside on the East Kent coast with my family and a growing menagerie of dogs, cats, and a long-haired guinea wig called The Snork Maiden. I divide my time very unequally between my studio, gardening, singing (mainly old (feisty) folk songs), and working in Deal’s Dunlin & Diver art/craft gallery.

My key painterly influences include a number of the St. Ives painters (but particularly Winifred Nicholson and Christopher Wood) and the Bloomsbury set and their hangers on (particularly Vanessa Bell and Dora Carrington), and more recently Mary Newcombe and Mary Fedden. Most of my time at present is spent printmaking with illustrator Ruby Green, in our joint venture Pod Press.
